Many people have gone to home work that is limited to a few working hours, or have become unemployed. Despite this, the labor market in Germany needs a lot of labor in many areas.

The most important competencies required in the German labor market:

If you are thinking of working in Germany, of course, you will need a visa in order to look for a job in Germany or to practice a profession in Germany. Here you will find all the details and steps that will lead you towards your goal of working in Germany.

There are two types of work visas in Germany.

The first type: a visa with the aim of searching for a job in Germany

If you have obtained a higher education certificate from your home country and would like to work in Germany, you can apply for a visa in order to look for work. This type of visa allows you to search for a job while you are inside Germany and not outside it. The duration of this visa is 6 months from the date you obtained it. During this period for you in Germany, that is, during the six months, you must write to the companies that suit your field of study and sign a contract to be able to extend your stay for a longer period. In the event that during this period you did not obtain an employment contract, you are obliged to leave Germany and submit a new application to search for work again

Most important documents required:

1) Public Documents

    • Valid passport, 2 copies
    • Two copies of the visa application form completely filled out and signed by the applicant
    • A recent photo with biometrics
    • Health insurance valid for the state of Germany and is provided only when the visa is issued

2) Demonstrate the purpose of travel

    • Curriculum vitae with marks, certificates, etc.
    • A higher education degree recognized in Germany
    • A book that clarifies the qualifications and motives, mentioning the intention to search for a job, such as: field, region and residence
    • Proof of financing for the entire period of stay
    • If the evidence is available, more about your preparation for your job search
    • Proof of the language skills necessary to start practicing the profession, usually in the form of a German language certificate for level B1

Submit two copies of all the papers mentioned above and the papers must be translated into German or English and must be certified.
Most German embassies in Arab countries also reserve the right to request additional documents that are not listed in the guidelines in individual cases.
The duration of the transaction is usually one month, and in some individual cases longer. Every application is subject to careful consideration, and there is no legal right to obtain a visa.

The second type: an entry visa for the purpose of starting a profession

In this case, you must have obtained an offer to work in Germany while you are still in your home country through your online correspondence to companies and employers in Germany.

Most important documents required:

1) Public Documents

    • Valid passport, 2 copies
    • Two copies of the visa application form completely filled out and signed by the applicant
    • A recent photo with biometrics
    • Health insurance valid for the state of Germany and is provided only when the visa is issued

2) Demonstrate the purpose of travel

    • Employment contract, vocational training contract, or affidavit of proof of acceptance of a renewed job in Germany with precise purpose and duration of stay, provided that it bears the signatures of both parties to the contract
    • Evidence of qualifications in the desired field of work, for example: proof of vocational education, postgraduate certificate, statement of current/previous employer
    • Proof of the language skills necessary to start practicing the profession, usually in the form of a German language certificate for level B1
    • For medical professions: The decision of the license to practice the profession in the Federal District, that is, the approval of the permission to practice the profession or the granting of a license to practice the medical profession. Two copies must be submitted
